Step 1: Select a product

Sign in to your Obscura account and open the Catalog. Choose the product you want to customize, then click Start Designing to enter the design editor.

Step 2: Upload your design

In the design editor, you can add your design in three ways:

• Upload an image directly from your computer
• Choose from built-in graphics or icons
• Type your own text

For the best print quality, make sure your design meets the size and resolution requirements displayed in the editor panel.

Step 3: Position your design

After your design is uploaded, use the editing tools to scale, move, and align your design until it appears exactly where you want it on the product.

Step 4: Preview your mockup

Click Preview button in the lower-right corner to generate a product mockup that shows how your design will look once printed.

Step 5: Save your product

When everything looks right, click Save Product. The design will be saved to your account and can be published to your store at any time.

To prepare artwork for printing with Obscura, please note the following requirements:

• Accepted formats: JPEG and PNG
• File size limit: up to 50 MB per file
• Image resolution: 300 ppi or higher is recommended for sharp print output

Because print dimensions differ by product, sizing details are provided on each product page. When you launch the design editor by selecting “Start Designing,” the correct specifications for that product will be displayed automatically.

The Obscura Creator is a built-in tool that allows you to design custom products directly within your account. You can upload your own artwork, add text elements, and view realistic mockups to see how your product will look before it goes live.

Color Guidelines

• White areas in your artwork will not be printed and will appear as the product’s base color.
• To display white text or logos, place them on a colored background.
• Ensure sufficient contrast between text and background colors to maintain readability.

Image & File Guidelines

• Remove unnecessary backgrounds before uploading your design files.
• Use high-resolution images to achieve sharp, vibrant print results.
• Artwork should be submitted in RGB color mode. Files uploaded in CMYK will be converted automatically, which may result in slight color variations.

Content Guidelines

• Only upload content that you own or have explicit written permission to use.
• Obscura reserves the right to decline any design that violates copyright laws or is deemed inappropriate.
• Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in account suspension or permanent termination, depending on the severity of the violation.

Obscura produces drinkware items using sublimation printing.

This method uses controlled heat and pressure to infuse color directly into the material, rather than printing ink on the surface. Because the design becomes part of the product itself, the final result is highly durable and maintains color clarity over time without peeling or cracking.

In simple terms, the process includes:

• Printing the design with sublimation ink onto transfer paper
• Applying the transfer to the drinkware item
• Using heat to activate the ink and bond it with the material

This approach ensures consistent print quality and long-lasting results across all drinkware products.
