How to integrate my store with Obscura?
- Install the App
Go to the Shopify App Store and search for Obscura or click here to install it.In your Shopify dashboard, click Add app → Install app to start the installation process.
- Authorize Your Store
After installation, you will be redirected to the Obscura app where you will be prompted to authorize access to your Shopify store. This step is required to sync your store with Obscura.
- Start Adding Products
Once your Shopify store is connected, use Obscura’s design tools to create and add your products to your store.
How to Add Products to My Store?
- Browse the Catalog
Go to the Catalog section within Obscura to explore available products.
- Select and Customize
Choose the product you want to sell, select the size, color, and customization options, and add your design.
- Add Product Details
Provide a product description, upload high-quality images, and set a price.
- Publish or Save as Draft
Save your product as a draft if you’d like to make future edits, or publish it immediately by changing its status to Active.
How Do I Edit Product Information and Sync it to My Store?
- To update product information, always make changes within the Obscura app to ensure the changes sync automatically with your Shopify store.
- If you edit product information directly in your Shopify admin panel, these changes will not sync with Obscura. To maintain consistency across platforms, we recommend managing all updates through the Obscura app.
- After editing, click Publish to apply changes to your Shopify store.

Can I set my own retail prices?
Yes, you can set your own retail prices directly in your Shopify store to control your profit margin. In the Obscura app, go to the My Products section, click Edit, and update the product’s price. The changes will sync automatically to your Shopify store.
How Does Obscura Work with Shopify?
It’s simple — install Obscura on your Shopify store, choose your products, upload your designs, and start selling.
When an order comes in, Obscura takes care of everything from printing to shipping.
Why Can’t I Publish My Products to Shopify?
- Incomplete Product Information
Some required fields like product title, description, or price might be missing.
Solution: Double-check and fill in all required fields.
- Incorrect Product Status
Your product needs to be set to Active to be published.
Solution: Update the product status in the Obscura app to Active.
- Shopify Store is Unavailable
If you’re on a free trial, your store may be inactive.
Solution: Log in to Shopify and check your store status. If using a free trial, select a plan and add payment details.
- Shopify Store is Password-Protected
Password protection can prevent product publishing.
Solution: Go to Shopify admin → Online Store → Preferences, uncheck Enable password and save.
What Happens to My Data if I Uninstall the Obscura App?
When you uninstall Obscura, all product data associated with the app will be removed from our system to prevent conflicts or residual data.
Your order information, including details like recipient name and address, will be kept for up to 30 days after completion or cancellation, allowing us to support you with returns, reprints, or other service needs. After 30 days, all customer data will be deleted according to our data retention policy.
Note: Customer and order records may still exist in your Shopify store or other connected sales channels.
